Despite having lost their entire season this year (not only because of the covid-19 lockdown but also due to storm damage to the hotel in June) the hotel will re-open their doors in October and we are delighted that they have already confirmed their performances for Summer of 2021.
We have been able to secure hotel rooms at the magnificent Kilworth House Hotel so you can enjoy a pre-performance dinner and an evening performance of the Rogers & Hammerstein classic Carousel on Wednesday 9th June. The following morning we have a leisurely full English breakfast before departing for Stratford upon Avon (about an hour’s drive). We very much hope that the Royal Shakespeare Company will be able to perform next summer and we plan to include a matinée performance. We return to the northwest immediately following the performance with light refreshments provided on the journey home. In the event of the RSC not performing next season a refund of £45 would be made but the tour would still proceed.
For 2021 we are likely to be limited to a maximum of 24 guests per 49 seater coach so costs are around 10% higher than planned for 2020. Staying at Kilworth is of course higher than a ‘chain’ or conference hotels but all who have stayed in past years found the superb quality of the accommodation and surroundings to be worth the additional cost. The package including dinner with wines, bed & breakfast at Kilworth, top price seats at Kilworth and stalls/circle at Stratford together with all transfers from the Northwest (see booking form for pick up points) is £405 per person sharing a twin or double room and £505 for single occupancy of a double room. Supplements for Premier rooms at Kilworth are available upon request.
We have 40 places available and a very limited number of twin bedded rooms so PLEASE REGISTER NOW to secure your place and we will let you know the RSC situation in November. You can then complete the Booking Form and return it to us with full payment.
The hotel and theatres have strict cancellation policies so that we have to make full payment in advance to secure the tickets (both require payment by the end of December) so the complete package cost has to be paid in full at the time of booking. Should you have to cancel, we will only be able to make a refund (less administration charge of £75 per booking) if we are able to resell your place. As we often have a waiting list we would hope that this is not a problem but we cannot guarantee it and we therefore recommend that you are fully insured.
