Their visit to the BBC Proms in 2024 received 5* reviews across the board.

This performance presents a unique opportunity to see them in action in the beautiful setting of Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall and the performance will include a chance to hear Igor Stravinsky's complete Firebird along with Robert Schumann's 2nd Symphony.

In addition we have managed to secure tickets for the Liverpool Mozart Orchestra 75th Season Opening Concert on Sunday afternoon at 5pm when Sir Simon will conduct the opening work

"The Representation of Chaos" from Haydn's The Creation
Robin Wallington: Gaia
Schumann: Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 129 (James Heathcote - cello)
Beethoven: Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68, "Pastoral"

This concert will take place at the Tung Auditorium which opened in 2022 and is part of the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre at the University of Liverpool.

Your hotel is stylish 4* Halyard situated on Duke Street which divides the Rope Walks and Baltic Triangle quarters of the city. It's a five minute walk to the Liverpool One Shopping area and Bluecoat Chambers and ten minutes to the Anglican Cathedral

Monday will be free during the day to explore the city, Liverpool One, Albert Dock and the Liverpool Maritime Museum and our two great cathedrals.

Many thanks, once again, to Ken and the Maestro Team for a fabulous holiday in Venice. We saw and learned so much about that magical city in just 6 days - both on and away from the Grand Canal - and enjoyed 4 wonderful evenings of music too. Rob says that now his dream of seeing Venice has been realised, Turner's paintings make a lot more sense!
