Join us for a weekend celebration of arts & performing arts in Liverpool this coming November. We stay four nights at the 4* Hope Street Hotel, situated in the heart of the city's Georgian Quarter, directly opposite Philharmonic Hall and between the two great cathedrals of the city. Performances include the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan; Glyndebourne's production of La bohème at the Emipre Theatre and the opening night of Dicken's A Christmas Carol at the new Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot.

Thursday 24th November – pick-up's from Fylde Coast, Chester and Wirral (see pick-up points on the Booking Form) afternoon arrival at the hotel. Welcome pre-concert supper and drinks. Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Domingo Hindoyan conducting a programme of Debussy and Puccini's Messa di Gloria with tenor Jesús León.
If you prefer, you can substitute Glyndebourne's performance of The Marriage of Figaro this evening.
Friday 25th November – This morning we visit the city's great Anglican Cathedral before heading to the historic Liverpool Athenaeum for lunch. Free time this afternoon before we head out to new Shakespeare North Playhouse located just 10 miles away at Prescot. Tonight is the opening performance of A Christmas Carol. All seating is cushioned benches and we have secured seats in the lower gallery (row C) all of which have 'backs' to the benches! If you prefer, you can substitute Glyndebourne's performance of Mozart Requiem this evening.
Saturday 26th November – We start our tour with a visit to the contemporary Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King before continuing our tour by coach visiting some of the sights associated with the Beatles (Penny Lane & Strawberry Fields in particular) and ending at Albert Dock. The afternoon is free and we have a pre-performance supper before a transfer to the Empire Theatre for Glyndebourne's 2022 production of La bohème.
Sunday 27th November – this morning we visit the Walker Art Gallery with an optional visit to the Tate Liverpool. Later this afternoon we meet for drinks before taking our seats in the luxurious setting of the private screening room at the Hope Street Hotel and an exclusive screening of a performance recorded earlier this year (full details will be provided later). Following the performance we ascend to the superb setting of 'The 5th' with panoramic terrance overlooking the ciity for our Gala Dinner with wines.
Monday 28th November - this morning we head 'under' the Mersey to the Wirral and the Lady Lever Art Gallery in the beautiful setting of Port Sunlight Village. The gallery is noted for a superb collection of pre-raphaelite works. Our tour concludes at the hotel at 1pm with transfer back to your original pick-up points.
