Next month Martha Argerich celebrates her 80th birthday with a series of concerts in Hamburg. Martha has been just about the busiest artist in the world over the past fifteen months The beautiful Laeiszhalle in Hamburg will host no fewer than 17 concerts with a mouth-watering array of artists joining Martha including Mischa Maisky, Gidon Kremer Maria João Pires, Nicholas Angelich & Sergei Nakariakov (to name just a few!), each evening from June 19th to 30th inclusive. We can’t travel to Hamburg, but we have decided to bring Hamburg to Liverpool! with four consecutive three-night packages staying at the 4* Hope Street Hotel (acclaimed as Best City Hotel in the UK by The Times).
As part of the hotel’s recent expansion, they added a beautiful private Cinema (seating up to 40 guests but limited to 25 per night for our concerts so there will be plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the facilities). Update 10 June - we have just four places remaining for this tour.
Each three-night package includes:
- 3 nights bed & breakfast in a deluxe room (all have walk-in shower and bath)
- each evening's concert(s) streamed live to our private cinema
- a gala dinner with wines in the magnificent private dining room The Fifth (with floor to ceiling views over the city and a private terrace)
- two post concert suppers with wines
- a guided tour by coach of Liverpool’s highlights on day #2
private visit with lunch to the Liverpool Athenaeum, founded in 1797 - for this package - coach transfers from Chester and the Wirral are included
We hope that, even for our clients who live in Liverpool, the opportunity to ‘get away’ for a few days and meet old friends, enjoy excellent food & wine and be part of a unique series of concerts will be attractive. If you want to stay longer and include more concerts just let us know.
