Leave the worries of the past sixteen months behind and join us for four days of Music & Arts based in the Welsh Victorian seaside town of Criccieth staying at the 4* Caerwylan Hotel. Criccieth was recently described by the Sunday Times as "a proper Welsh rare bit: mountains, sea, porpoises and a prom". Our full musical line-up includes renowned soprano Anush Hovhannisyan (who we are delighted has agreed to perform for us ahead of her appearance at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in November as Violetta); RNCM Gold Medal winning pianist Luke Jones and the prodigiously talented pianist, vocalist & conductor Sam Jewison with his Jazz Trio.

Each day we will visit some of the wonderful historic houses, art galleries and gardens of the area and on three evenings we will have a concert or recital in the historic Criccieth Memorial Hall (which celebrates its centenary next year).

We will have a coach transfer from Preston picking up in Crosby, Liverpool, Chester and at Bangor Station. If you are travelling by train to Bangor please connect to the 1148 departure from Crewe (1210 from Chester) arrival Bangor 1318. On the Monday please plan for the 1536 from Llandudno Junction (to Chester & Crewe with onward connections) as we will visit Bodnant Gardens that lunchtime. Train times are subject to confirmation 6 weeks prior to departure. All transfers within North Wales are included.

The Caerwylan Hotel has a superb position directly overlooking Cardigan Bay at the start of the promenade with the town and Castle just five minutes walk. We have taken over the entire hotel for our stay and have a mix of 24 rooms including cozy single rooms with shower (town or Castle view), standard twin or double rooms (town or Castle view), we also have a limited number of Superior sea facing and Executive sea facing rooms. There is an elevator to each floor but some rooms do require four or five steps to reach them. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any mobility issues or concerns.

Excursions during our stay will include the beautifully restored mid 19th century house and art gallery at Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw, the hamlet of Llanystumdwy (home to David Lloyd-George & Jan Morris), the magnificent house and gardens of Plas Newydd set beside the Menai Straits and the beautiful gardens of Plas Brondanw - the family estate of Clough Williams-Ellis, creator of Portmeirion. We will also visit Pant Du one North Wales's unique vineyards, take a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway and visit the beautiful gardens of Bodnant to complete our arrangements.

As always a well planned and efficiently organised trip. I really enjoyed everything, but I think the highlight was the Concert. Thank you for everything, can't wait for Puccini in the summer.
