Franco Zeffirelli, the director and designer of many of the most spectacular 'Grand Opera' productions of the late twentieth century, was never more at home than with the state-of-the-art stage facilities of the Metropolitan Opera. During our visit to New York we have the chance to see both La Bohème and Turandot! To see one of his productions would be a lifetime treat for many opera lovers, to see both - a feast!
Add to that the outstanding young Korean Maestra Eun Sun Kim conducting La Bohème with the ravishing Italian soprano Eleonora Buratto and tenor Yusif Eyvazov while Turandot will star Anna Netrebko in the title role.
We look forward to returning to New York in 2022 for a week-long visit which will include performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center as well as a full programme of sightseeing and dinners!
