Join us for a four night stay in Paris when Royal Liverpool Philharmonic & Vasily Petrenko perform for the first time at the wonderful new Philharmonie concert hall in the French capital. They are joined by the French pianist Alexandre Tharaud who will perform Sergei Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto.

You can travel from Liverpool, Runcorn, Preston, Chester, Crewe or Manchester to London Euston where we assemble and transfer to St Pancras International for the Eurostar to Paris in a little over 2 hours 20 minutes.
If you prefer to fly you can do so from Manchester with Air France but you will responsible for getting yourself to the hotel and back to the airport on Monday. At the moment the supplement to fly is £40 including 1 checked piece of baggage.
We stay four nights at the 4* Hotel Marceau Bastille (a Maestro client favourite) which has a great location between Place du Bastille and Gare de Lyon, close to the Marais and Ile St Louis.
Here's the day to day itinerary:
Thursday 24 November - depart your home station around 10am to London Euston where we assemble and transfer to St Pancras.
depart St Pancras International 1422 arrive Paris Gare du Nord 1747 and on arrival we transfer to our hotel for the next four nights.
We start the weekend with a Welcome Dinner at the legendary Le Train Bleu restaurant (wines etc included)
Friday 25 November - this morning we follow the steps of the great romantic musicians that made Paris their home in the mid 19th century including Chopin, Liszt, Berlioz, Rossini & Wagner. We also visit the charming Musée de la Vie romantique. The afternoon is free and this evening we have a chamber music concert at the magnificent Sainte Chapelle on Île de la Cité followed by supper with wine on Île St Louis.
Saturday 26 November - this morning we head to the heart of French Impressionism at the Musée d'Orsay where we also have lunch included in the magnificent former restaurant of the Hôtel d'Orsay. Remainder of the afternoon is free.
This evening we head to the north of the city and the new Philharmonie de Paris Concert Hall for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Vasily Petrenko with an all Rachmaninov programme including Piano Concerto No. 2 with French pianist Alexandre Tharaud and Symphonic Dances.
Sunday 27 November - This morning we have arranged tickets for a chamber concert with the renowned Belcea Quartet at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the remainder of the day is free until we meet this evening for dinner (included with wines) at a local restaurant.
Monday 28 November - the day is free until we depart for Gare du Nord and our Eurostar back to London departing at 1613 arriving St Pancras at 1739. We then transfer to Euston for our departures back to the Northwest around 1900 arriving shortly after 2100.
