Maestro! was founded by Ken Grundy in 1994 with the mission of providing focused travel and touring services to the performing arts community. Ken has an extensive background in the travel industry spanning more than 40 years. Prior to founding Maestro! he was responsible for the corporate travel accounts of such global giants as Shell Oil, ICI and Unilever, and later worked as a senior manager for American Express in Europe. His personal interest in opera and classical music led him to work with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, looking after their touring needs as they approached their 150th anniversary in 1992. This experience led to the formation of Maestro! and the company has grown steadily ever since. Over the past twenty five years, he has led the company to the multi-million Pound turnover that it achieves today. He has focused the company towards providing state of the art customised travel and touring solutions for international artist agencies and a diverse mix of internationally celebrated artists, orchestras, dance and opera companies including Andris Nelsons, Valery Gergiev, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Cecilia Bartoli, Chineke!, London Philharmonic, Mariinsky Orchestra, Ballet & Chorus, Liverpool Philharmonic and Kodo.
