Join us for four nights in Buxton this July when we stay at the 4* Lee Wood Hotel, less than 10 minutes walk from the Buxton Opera House and the heart of the Festival.
Four Festival performances are included:
- Rossini's bel canto masterpeice La Donna del Lago
- A new English version of Donizetti’s Viva La Diva by Kit Hesketh-Harvey (co-production with Salzburg State Theatre)
- Johann Adolf Hasse’s baroque serenata Antonio e Cleopatra
- The music of Jules Styne and superb lyrics of Stephen Sondheim in the iconic 'musical fable' Gypsy
(top price dress circle seats & stalls for all except Antonio e Cleopatra which is performed in the Pavilion Arts Centre with reserved tiered seating).
At the time of publishing this tour (January 2022) we still await details of the 'Fringe' (concerts, talks, discussions etc) but we will let you have these as soon as they are released.
We also have a private visit to the recently restored Grade I listed Buxton Crescent, a half day visit to the magnificent estate and house at Chatsworth and a morning visit to the beautiful gardens of Thornbridge Hall (and RHS Partner Garden).
As we have done throughout 2021, we will travel with our own coach and driver and use this coach for all transfers. We believe this gives us the best covid-secure enviroment for all of our guests. We will continue to ask guests to take a free lateral flow test on the day before the tour and to wear face coverings whenever on the coach.
Deposit is £400 and the balance is due 1st June.
